D.C. man arrested in connection to Easton pharmacy thefts
EASTON, Md. – A criminal summons was served on a Washington D.C. man on Friday following multiple theft investigations.
The first incident happened on May 18, 2022, at the Rite Aid located at 101 Marlboro Avenue, Suite 15. When police arrived at the scene, it was learned that a man had just jumped the pharmacy counter and pushed the pharmacist before taking numerous prescription bottles of various prescriptions and running out of the store. Surveillance video captured the suspect.
The second incident took place on June 23, 2022, at the Giant Pharmacy located at 8223 Elliott Road. Similar to the previous incident, the suspect went behind the pharmacy counter and stole various bottles of prescription medication before fleeing on foot.
The suspect was identified as 27-year-old Malik Rivers. He has been charged with robbery, second degree assault, theft, theft scheme, fourth degree burglary, and conspiracy.
