Bridgeville man extradited from Pa., charged in February murder of wife

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – Delaware State Police have officially charged a Bridgeville man for murdering his wife last month.

53-year-old Robert Franks was arrested in Philadelphia on February 19th. Franks had been awaiting extradition to Delaware from Pennsylvania, but on March 9th, Franks was taken from Philadelphia to Troop 2 by state detectives from the Department of Justice Extradition Unit.

Franks has been charged with first degree murder and is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $5 million cash bond.
