WiHi takes it in season finale thriller over Bennett

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md.– WiHi defeated Bennett in a final score of 77-74 on Thursday night.

The Tribe and the Clippers would exchange the lead multiple times throughout the 1st quarter, but both teams would be tied 19-19 at the end of the quarter. Bennett would pull away with a very small lead going into the half only being up 36-33.

The Tribe would start to fall behind in the 3rd quarter due to careless turnovers and missed rebounds. Jace Hudson was huge for the Clippers throughout the match-up. Hudson would nail clutch fast break points and 3 point shots down the stretch to keep his team alive. Zakai Smullen would also come in clutch for the Clippers with multiple and 1 shots late in the 2nd half.

WiHi’s Antwan Wilson would explode in the 4th quarter with multiple fast break buckets and a couple of and 1’s to put his team ahead by double digits. The Clippers however would pull it within 3 with less than 20 seconds in the 4th. They would not be able to steal the ball off of the inbounds play as time would expire and seal the win for the Tribe.
