Virginia Fire Medic Asking for Community Support
PARKSLEY, Va – Meet David Turner.
David is a Fire Medic for the Parksley Volunteer Fire Company. In June 2022 he went to the hospital with pain that he believed was from a recent fire call.
It was discovered that David had acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
He’s since undergone an unsuccessful clinical trial and several rounds of intense chemotherapy and is now receiving a bone marrow transplant.
This all while his 8-year-old daughter tested positive for Li Fraumeni Syndrome. He now has to make sure she also gets her regular cancer screening.
The turner family is now asking the community for support during these difficult times.
