Two teens charged after threatening note found at Choices Academy
SALISBURY, Md. – Police have charged two teens in connection to a threatening note found at Choices Academy last week.
Friday morning, deputies with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded after being advised of a threatening note that was located inside Choices Academy. Further investigation revealed that the note had been taped to a classroom desk during the afternoon hours of February 9th.
Police were able to develop a suspect in the case as a 13-year-old student at the school. It was also discovered that a second student, age 14, witnessed the crime and failed to report the threat, further causing unnecessary school disruption.
The 13-year-old female was charged with threats of mass violence, disturbing school operation, and school molest etc. The 14-year-old was charged with disturbing school operation.
Due to the subjects’ age, Juvenile Referrals were completed, and the juveniles were released to the custody of their guardians pending disposition by the Department of Juvenile Services.
