SU Men’s Lax stars Brown and Dowd earn team of the week honors

SALISBURY, Md. – Second-ranked Salisbury University men’s lacrosse graduate attacker Jude Brown and senior midfielder Jack Dowd landed on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Dynamic National Team of the Week on Tuesday.

Brown was electric in his Sea Gull Stadium debut, racking up nine points on four goals and five assists in the Sea Gulls’ 18-10 win over No. 19 Roanoke. Brown opened the season against Berry College with six points on a hat-trick and three assists.

After being named USA Lacrosse Player of the Week earlier on Tuesday, Dowd adds another weekly honor after his dominant performance on Saturday. Dowd notched career highs in points and goals to help lead the Sea Gulls offense. He finished the game with nine points on six goals and three assists.

Salisbury hosts the Scranton Royals on Saturday, Feb. 18. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Sea Gull Stadium.
