Seaford sweeps Laurel, clinches Henlopen South
SEAFORD, Del. – For the third straight season Seaford will play for the Henlopen Conference boys basketball title. The Blue Jays clinched the Henlopen South title with an 89-76 win over Laurel Tuesday night at home.
The Blue Jays held control for most of the game, with Laurel trimming the lead to just two early in the fourth quarter.
Brent Ricketts led the way for Seaford with 23 points, while Careen Bolden had 17, with Kashmeir Wise dropping 16. Dontarius Jones led Laurel with 22, and was followed up by Corey Mumford with 21.
Seaford will play Polytech in the Henlopen Conference championship game at Dover on Saturday, February 25, at noon.
