Seaford claims first conference title since 1988

DOVER, Del.– Seaford defeated Polytech 77-64 in the Henlopen conference championship on Saturday afternoon.

Both teams would be tied at 19-19 at the end of the first quarter. Seaford would start to pull away going into the half with a 31-26 lead.

The Jays would start the 3rd quarter on a 6-0 run to take an 11 point lead. All momentum shifted towards the BlueJays in the 3rd after a fast break dunk by Careen Bolden. Poly would try to stay in it, but clutch shooting from Kashmier Wise and Makel Hubbard would keep the Jays out in front.
