New selfie studio makes bold statement in downtown Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A bold, bright selfie studio has officially opened its doors on the historic Race Street in downtown Cambridge.

Poze: The Selfie Experience allows visitors the opportunity to step up their social media game.

It offers several colorful and interactive installations for photo shoots, videos, and of course the perfect Instagram selfie.

Owner Rhonda Meekins also coaches a dance team and tells us they visited several similar museums while traveling. She says she thought it would be a good idea to start one at home.

Meekins says it took a village to make this dream a reality. “It was mainly a hands-on thing with me and my family. To come in here now and just to see how much life we’ve brought into the building, and everyone loves it. This is amazing for me,” Meekins said.

Meekins tells 47ABC she hopes the space will be another positive and safe place for local and visiting youth.

To keep things fresh, displays will be switched out seasonally so you’re encouraged to catch the current ones while you can.
