New Milford Police Chief sworn in

MILFORD, Del. – On Monday, Milford swore in their first female police chief.

Cecelia Ashe was sworn in by Delaware Superior Court Judge Noel Primos.

She has spent the past 17 years serving the Wilmington Police Department and holds over 27 years of total experience in the law enforcement field.

Ashe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and is currently working on her Master’s in Administration of Criminal Justice and Organizational Leadership, both at Wilmington University.

In a press release from the Mayor of Milford, Chief Ashe says she hopes to continue the advancement of the Milford Police Department through further training and its commitment to providing police services led with empathy and compassion for the citizens of Milford.
