MSP asking for public’s help in identifying wanted armed robbery suspect
SHOWELL, Md. – Maryland State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection to an armed robbery.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect went into the Smith Market, located in the 11700 block of Worcester Highway in Showell, shortly before 9:35 a.m. on Saturday. He reportedly approached the cashier, displayed a handgun, and obtained an unknown amount of money from multiple cash registers. The suspect is believed to have then fled the area in a white Honda Accord and was last seen traveling northbound on Old U.S. Route 113.
The suspect is described as a male between 6’0″ and 6’2″, approximately 50 to 60 years old, with a gray beard and thin build. He was last seen wearing a multicolored sweatshirt, a black knit hat, dark-colored sweatpants, white and black Nike shoes, and black gloves.
