DOVER, Del. – A Dover man has been arrested on his third DUI after police say he stole a vehicle over the weekend.

Dover Police began investigating a stolen vehicle at the Kent Liquor Mart just before noon on Saturday. Officers were able to review surveillance footage, which showed the suspect, identified as 40-year-old David Pryor, stealing the victim’s vehicle.

A short time later, officers observed the vehicle turning onto College Road from McKee Road and tried to stop the vehicle, however Pryor did not stop and continued driving while passing numerous safe locations to pull over. Pryor finally came to a stop in the middle of the southbound lane of Kenton Road but refused to get out of the vehicle and had to be physically removed by officers. Officers also noticed that Pryor showed signs of impairment once he was taken into custody.

Pryor was subsequently charged with theft of a motor vehicle, third offense DUI, resisting arrest, disregarding a police officer signal, and driving while suspended/revoked. He was held at SCI on a $7,000 secured bail.
