Seaford home damaged by gunfire, investigation underway

SEAFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating after an occupied home was damaged by gunfire early Friday morning.

At around 12:20 a.m., troopers responded to the 8000 block of Nylon Avenue after receiving a report of shots fired in the area. Troopers met with a 19-year-old woman who reported that her home had been hit by gunfire. There were also two 21-year-old men inside the home at the time.

No injuries were reported. Police found numerous shell casings in the roadway, but there is no suspect information available at this time, and the circumstances and motive remain under investigation.
