Salisbury fatal crash under investigation

SALISBURY, Md. – Police are continuing to investigate a crash that claimed the life of one Wednesday morning in Salisbury.

At around 4:50 a.m., officers responded to the area of East Salisbury Parkway and Tilghman Road for a reported vehicle crash with injuries. Officers arrived at the scene to find the Salisbury Fire Department tending to multiple victims.

The initial investigation revealed that a 2015 Honda Civic and 2014 Ford Escape were involved in the crash and were heavily damaged as a result. A passenger in the Civic, identified as 64-year-old Darlene Stevenson of Salisbury, was taken to TidalHealth where she was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Escape was also taken to TidalHealth for non-life-threatening injuries.

Due to the nature of the incident, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction team responded to the scene to help with the investigation.
