Four adults, two juveniles arrested following drug investigation

DOVER, Del. – A total of six people, including two juveniles, were arrested Wednesday afternoon following a drug investigation.

We’re told detectives had been conducting a drug investigation on an apartment in the 200 block of West Reed Street. Members of law enforcement responded to the apartment early Wednesday afternoon to execute a search warrant. Before executing the warrant, officers observed a subject, identified as 38-year-old Roderick Dixon, conducting drug transactions in the area and making contact with a second subject in a vehicle, identified as 40-year-old Janita Sullivan. Both were taken into custody.

Once inside the residence, police took 23-year-old Larry Harris into custody. 24-year-old Khareim Hanzer and two juveniles reportedly ran from the residence when police arrived, but were apprehended after a foot pursuit.

During the search, officers located 1,304.3 grams of marijuana, 926 bags of heroin, and a loaded 9mm handgun. When one of the juveniles, a 17-year-old male, was taken into custody, he was found in possession of 54.8 grams of marijuana and a 9mm handgun. A search of the vehicle that Sullivan was in revealed 12.3 grams of crack cocaine, 3.3 grams of marijuana, 64 bags of heroin, a glass jar containing suspected cocaine residue, two digital scales, and $494.

Dixon was held at SCI on a $49,101 cash bail on a list of drug charges, while Sullivan was held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $45,601 cash bail. Harris was released on a $2,000 unsecured bail, while Hanzer was released on a $250 unsecured bail for resisting arrest.

The 17-year-old was held at Stevenson House Detention Center on a $41,100 cash bail, and the 13-year-old male was released on his own recognizance to a guardian.
