Death investigation leads to arrest of Easton man
EASTON, Md. – The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office has charged one after a man was found dead along the roadside over the weekend.
At around 1 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to the area of Rigbylot Road, near Royal Oak Road, for a report of a deceased person lying along the roadside. Deputies found a deceased man lying on the ground a short distance from the road.
The individual is a 33-year-old man from Easton, and police say his body has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy. The person has been identified, however, detectives have not been able to locate next of kin, so his identity is being withheld at this time.
Further investigation revealed that the victim had been at a residence on South Aurora Street with several individuals during the early morning hours on Saturday. Police identified and interviewed all of the individuals who were with the victim that evening. Based on those interviews, 23-year-old Josue Martinez-Villatoro of Easton has been charged with second degree murder, manslaughter, reckless endangerment, and unauthorized disposal of a body.
Martinez-Villatoro is being held without bond.
