Weather Tidbits: Winter Pet Safety

This Weather Tidbits discusses how to keep your pets safe during the winter months. When indoor pets are involved, make sure to bring them inside but also keep them on a leash. Also, don’t leave them in the car, which is a year-round rule; and keep the salt away from their paws. Make sure to provide shelter for your outdoor pets; but also use straw for insulation, keep them dry and check in on them. Lastly for all types of pets, keep extra food and water throughout the season; but also keep them away form anti-freeze and also keep them warm. Remember, if the ground is too cold for you, it will also be too cold for your pet.
