Trio arrested on drug charges following shooting investigation

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police have arrested a trio on drug dealing charges following a shooting investigation.

We’re told the investigation began when the Dover Police Department received information that a gray Toyota Avalon with New Jersey registration was involved in a shooting in Smyrna on December 4th and that the vehicle was in the Downtown Dover area at that time. Shortly before 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the area and located the vehicle in the area of Home 2 Suites, located at 222 South DuPont Highway.

A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the parking lot of the hotel, and the driver, later identified as 21-year-old Salih Oliver, got out of the vehicle and fled into a room at the hotel. The passenger, identified as 23-year-old Brian Sadler Jr., was taken into custody without incident. Officers were able to identify the room that Oliver entered and made contact with a third suspect, identified as 18-year-old Adriana Sisombath, inside the room. She was subsequently taken into custody just before Oliver was located hiding in a cabinet during a search of the room.

Inside the room, officers found 106 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia consistent with drug dealing, and a loaded black 9mm Glock 43.

Oliver was held at SCI on a $76,000 cash bail on a list of charges, including resisting arrest, driving while suspended or revoked, and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.

Sisombath was charged with multiple drug and firearm offenses and was held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $47,000 secured bail.

Sadler was charged with maintaining a dwelling for selling drugs and was released on his own recognizance.

We’re told the shooting in Smyrna is still being investigated by the Smyrna Police Department.
