MILFORD, Del.- Thousands of dollars will go to breathe new life into the Milford Museum.

The $700,000 comes from the state’s Bond Bill.

We’re told the museum is currently overcrowded, and funds will go towards renovations and adding more storage to the basement.

Museum personnel we spoke with say the move will also create opportunities for more programming.  “This addition will help us have special educational programming, more events, and speaker series for different months like Black History Month,” Milford Museum Nicole Rogers.

“We’re so excited to be able to have this funding come to us for that.”

There’s currently no date for when construction will begin, as the museum is currently working on the design concept for the project.

The Milford Museum also received $8,000 from the Collections Assessment for Preservation Program.
