Man arrested in connection to fatal Lewes crash facing additional charges

 

LEWES, Del. – A Millsboro man arrested in connection to a fatal crash over the weekend is now facing additional charges from the Lewes Police Department.

46-year-old Jason Wilcox was arrested on Christmas Day after he was identified by Delaware State Police as the suspect in a crash that killed three people in Lewes the day prior. Lewes Police assisted with the investigation and determined that Wilcox had illegally entered a residence, took the keys to two vehicles, and subsequently took the vehicles without the consent of the owners, who were out of town on vacation. One vehicle was left at the scene of the accident and the other was recovered in Millsboro by Delaware State Police on Christmas Day.

As a result, Wilcox has additionally been charged with second degree burglary, two counts of theft under $1500 where the victim is 62 or older, and two counts of theft of a motor vehicle.
