Four arrested following drug investigation in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested four people Tuesday afternoon following a drug investigation.

We’re told officers began investigating a report of drug activity at a residence in the 1000 block of South Bradford Street. Just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, officers arrested 31-year-old Joshua Bryant, who was wanted by Dover Police, in front of the residence. Bryant was found in possession of drug paraphernalia at the time he was taken into custody.

A search warrant was obtained and executed at the residence, leading to the additional arrests of 37-year-old Shelly Thompson, 55-year-old Johnny Jones, and 25-year-old Kayla Williams. Jones was also found in possession of 7.9 grams of cocaine at the time of his arrest.

Bryant was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, identity theft, and theft $1500 or greater. He was released on his own recognizance on these charges but was held at SCI on an outstanding capias.

Thompson was charged with traffic capias and violation of probation and was held at SCI on a $10,000 secured bail.

Williams was charged with traffic capias and released on a $100 unsecured bail.

Jones was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 1 quantity, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana (civil violation). He was held at SCI on a $13,100 unsecured bail.
