Easton man arrested following sexual assault investigation

CAROLINE CO., Md. – An Easton man has been arrested on multiple charges stemming from an investigation into sexual assault and sexual solicitation of a minor.

We’re told an investigation began on December 16th regarding 25-year-old Ryshiem Gibson, who was accused of sexually assaulting and providing a controlled dangerous substance to a 15-year-old juvenile. Further investigation revealed that Gibson is a Tier One registered sexual offender in the State of Maryland.

Gibson was arrested on December 19th and charged with third degree sex offense, fourth degree sex offense, sexual solicitation of a minor, second degree assault, and CDS distribution. He was held without bond at the Caroline County Detention Center.
