Wicomico County Man Arrested, Possession of Child Pornography

WICOMICO CO,. Md – Friday, Maryland State Police arrested a Wicomico County man for possession of child pornography.

43-year-old, John Kearns, is charged with numerous counts of possession of child pornography.

Kearns was transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center, where he was released on bond.

In May 2022, investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children related to the downloading and possession of child pornography from a social media platform.  Investigators were able to link the account to Kearns and recovered several hundred images of child pornography.

Police also learned that Kearns volunteers as a coach for youth sports.
