Wicomico Co. man convicted of sexually abusing minor

SALISBURY, Md. – A Wicomico County jury has convicted a man on rape and sex abuse of a minor charges.

27-year-old Steven Crocker was convicted late last month of sex abuse of a minor, second degree rape, and related offenses. Sentencing was deferred pending completion of a pre-sentence investigation and mental health evaluation. Crocker will remain in custody pending sentencing.

The charges stem from an investigation that began in October 2021, after the victim reported the abuse at the hands of Crocker. The victim is under the age of ten.
