Westside Intermediate teacher honored as November Teacher Who Makes A Difference

SALISBURY, Md. – Congratulations are in order for our November Teacher Who Makes A Difference, Kim Messick from Westside Intermediate School.

Mrs. Messick has been a teacher for 31 years, with 21 of those years being at Westside Intermediate. She says she’s taught almost every grade level, but she’s currently teaching 5th grade. Mrs. Messick says her students and families are what inspire her each and every year.

“It just affirms how much I love giving back to the kids in our community. And to see that they notice me doing that and recognize me doing that just makes me more excited to come to school every day,” says Messick.

The Teacher Who Makes A Difference Award is brought to you in part by Pam Price and Associates. Pam’s associate Alyssa helped us surprise the teacher with lots of fun goodies, flowers, and a certificate.
