Fire at Salisbury Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses under investigation

SALISBURY, Md. – State fire marshals are investigating a small fire at a Salisbury house of worship early Monday morning.

We’re told the incident took place at around 4:10 a.m., at the Salisbury, Maryland Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. The fire began at the rear door of the building and was discovered by Jehovah’s Witnesses staff members. The fire department did not respond to the blaze, as the fire reportedly burned itself out.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the cause of the fire was incendiary. Total damage has been estimated at $500.

Police have developed a vehicle of interest (pictured above) in the incident. Anyone with information on the fire and/or the vehicle is asked to call the Salisbury Office of the State Fire Marshal at 410-713-3780.
