“There’s just something for everyone:” Apple Scrapple Festival set to return for 30th anniversary

BRIDGEVILLE, Del.- For all you scrapple lovers, the Apple Scrapple Festival is making a return this weekend and celebrating its 30th anniversary.

The event promotes the work of the local ag industry in Sussex County and we’re told apples and scrapple are staples of the area.

You can expect the same live music, hundreds of vendors, and food from scrapple sandwiches to apple dumplings.

Organizers tells us the popularity of the event continues to grow which has now made the event an eastern shore tradition. “And to be able comeback I really feel full force in 2022 is a testament to Bridgeville and our volunteers, our town, and all the organizations in town,” Apple Scrapple Executive Chair Karen Johnson.

“There’s just something for everyone and you can really come to Bridgeville and spend hours here and not move more than 3 blocks.”

The free event kicks off this Friday at 4p.m.
