Queen Anne’s takes down WiHi in Bayside clash

SALISBURY, Md —  KJ Smothers led the Queen Anne’s Lions to win 35-28 over the WiHi Tribe. Smothers had more than 250 yards on the ground and three touchdowns including the go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter which help cement Queen Anne’s win.

The two teams traded haymakers back and forth in the first half, including an 89-yard run from Darius Foreman, a 55-yard touchdown run from Ashton Siwald, and a 60-yard touchdown pass from Foreman to Malique Leatherbury.

The game would be tied at 21 going into halftime, but Smothers’ two second-half touchdowns plus their defense holding WiHi to seven points helped them win the game.
