Kasey Heath shines in season finale win over the Lions

STEVENSVILLE, Md.– Kent Island defeated Queen Anne’s in a final score of 42-14 on Friday night.

KI would get on the board first with a Keegan O’Brien touchdown to give the Bucs the 7-0 lead. QA would bite right back as Kj Smothers would break free for the long touchdown run to tie it up at 7-7.

The Bucs and the Lions would be scoreless in the 2nd quarter and would go into halftime with tied at 7-7. The Lions would come out of the gate red hot in the 3rd with their first play from scrimmage being a 67 yard TD run by Smothers.

KI would make sure that touchdown run would be the last one as Kasey Heath would begin his takeover. Heath would record 5 rushing TD’s in the 2nd half to put the game out of reach for QA.

The Bucs close out their regular season with a dominate win over a strong Lions team as KI is the first team this season to contain powerhouse RB Kj Smothers.
