Woman hit by car, near same area teen was killed this year

BERLIN, Md. – Maryland State Police have confirmed a woman was hit by a car on Grays Corner Road in Berlin.

She sustained serious injuries and was taken to Atlantic General Hospital and then flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

Calls came in just before 8 p.m., Thursday evening.

According to MSP dispatch, she was hit near the W.A.C.S Health Center.

State police were on scene assisting with the matter and are unable to provide us with anymore information.

This area is near the location where 14-year-old Gavin Knupp was killed in July.

This comes just days after transportation officials announced new lights were to be installed in the area.
