Decatur takes down Easton in a classic Bayside battle

EASTON, Md.– Decatur defeated Easton in a final score of 37-34 on Friday night.

Easton would come out of half-time with a 20-14 lead. Brycen Coleman would take a direct snap in the redzone and go all the way for the score and the lead. The Seahawks defense would come up huge and stuff the Easton offense in the endzone for a safety.

At the start of the 4th Easton would run it up the middle for the TD to retake the lead and make it 26-23. Decatur would line in wildcat formation in the red-zone and Luke Mergott would push his way in for 6 to make it a 30-26 game with 7:33 left in the game.

With 4:49 left in the 4th Kevin O’Connor would connect with Jordan Nixon for a long TD reception to make it 32-30, Easton would go for the 2 pt conversion to make it 34-30. Brycen Coleman would take another direct snap in the redzone and he would blow through the Warriors defense in what would turn out to be the nail in the coffin to lift Decatur over Easton.
