Sussex Central uses 4th quarter surge to beat Hodgson

GEORGETOWN, Del – The Sussex Central Golden Knights beat the Hodgson Silver Eagles 54-34 thanks to a 16-4 run in the fourth quarter.

The Knights jumped out to a 14-7 lead before miscues including an interception and botched punt gave the Silver Eagles two goalline opportunities to score.

The Silver Eagles were up 28-14 at halftime, but the second half was all Golden Knights. Sussex Central tied the game up at 28 entering the 4th before dominating the final 12 minutes to win by 20. Running Back Jace Hawkins led the Silver Eagles with three first-half touchdowns, while Patrick Henry had three touchdowns for the Golden Knights.
