Queen Anne’s mounts the comeback against the Bulldogs

CENTREVILLE, Md.– Queen Anne’s took down the North Caroline Bulldogs 20-16 on Friday night.

North Caroline struck first with a rushing touchdown from Zymear Smith to give the Bulldogs the 6-0 lead. The Lions would respond right back with a rushing touchdown from senior Kj Smothers jr.

With 32 seconds left in the first half, the Bulldogs would kick a field goal to go into halftime with a 9-7 lead. North Caroline would add to their lead with 2:51 left in the 3rd to make their lead 16-7.

The Lions would get back into the game with a huge rushing touchdown by Kj Smothers to bring the Lions within 2 points. With less than a minute in the game, the Bulldogs would get called for an encroachment on field goal attempt to give Queen Anne’s a fresh new set of downs.

Kj Smothers jr. would find the end zone with less than minute left in the game to give the Lions the 20-16 lead.
