Police search for wanted robbery suspects in Wicomico Co.

MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. – The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men wanted in connection to a robbery that took place back in July.

On July 24th, deputies responded to the Goose Creek Convenience Store in Mardela Springs for a reported strong-armed robbery. It was determined through investigation that 30-year-old Ivan Conaway had entered the store and asked for a carton of Newport Cigarettes. When the clerk placed the cigarettes on the counter, Conaway reportedly smacked the clerk’s hand off of the cigarettes, grabbed the cigarettes, and fled the store. The store clerk suffered minor injuries to her wrist as a result of the incident.

It was determined was Conaway got into a vehicle being driven by 39-year-old Michael Robinson.

Criminal summons were issued for both subjects for robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Police say the criminal summons’ were unable to be served, so they were returned to the court and arrest warrants were issued.
