New Evolve Mental Wellness facility looks to fill need for more local mental health services

SALISBURY, Md.- Evolve Mental Wellness is moving into a new facility that’s twice the size of its original one, allowing space for it’s growing clientele.

The Co-Owner tells 47ABC that in just two short years they now have over 22 providers that serve upward 1,000 patients.

We’re told that growth is due to a huge need for local mental health resources the practice looks to fill.

It offers individual and group therapy services and sees adults and children.

Those we spoke with say they also want to shatter the stigma surrounding therapy. “Mental health services are not just for the severely mentally ill. In fact, most of the patients that we see don’t have a primary diagnosis of severe mental illness. Most people we see are just every day folks,” Co-Owner Pamela Patey said.

“The Aha moment is when patients get it. When the light bulb clicks for them and when the tools that we’ve been talking about work for them,” Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor Kiara Wharton said.

The practice is currently providing both in-person and telehealth services.
