Double T Foundation expo set for Saturday, Oct. 1
DOVER, Del. – Double T Foundation in Delaware is a non-profit organization that mentors, educates, and encourages others about becoming living donors, as well as provides emotional and financial assistance to those in need. This year they’re bringing back their Live Life Give Life expo show.
This 3rd annual vendor and expo showcase living donors, guest speakers, health and wellness information, small businesses, food, and much more. The event is meant to create awareness of the foundation while also educating those on what it means and how to become a living donor. It also shows how the organization helps to get people the medical help they need.
As organizers tell us, one of the most exciting parts of the days is designating those who can formally help with this mission. “Through that, we crown or select our new ambassadors for the year, and usually there are between 4 and 5 ambassadors that go out into the community and promote the Double T Foundation and what our mission is all about,” says Theresa Barnes, a kidney recipient and founder of Double T Foundation.
The guest of honor at this year’s expo is Matt Barry who we’re told needs a liver. The free event will be held at 13 Nobles Pond Xing in Dover with the life ambassador queen pageant starting at 9 a.m. and the expo kicking off at 10 a.m.
