Delaware Primary Candidate Preview – Bryan Shupe District 36
Delaware – 47ABC caught up with Representative Bryan Shupe ahead of the primary elections to find out what his plans are if re-elected.
Shupe represents District 36, which includes Ellendale, Slaughter Beach, and Milford, his hometown, where he served as mayor.
Shupe told 47ABC that he had several successes throughout this recent term which include the passing of legislation around health care and education.
He said if re-elected, his focus will be on bringing more health services to the growing district he serves, adding his personal connection to the area gives him an upper hand to better serve his constituents.
Shupe Said, “It allows us to see things that maybe others would not see. The changes that have happened over time and the needs of residents”… “All of those diverse needs, those workforce development needs, the healthcare and education [needs], and seeing those happen over time and change over time is where I think the experience of being born and raised here has really come in handy”.
Representative Shupe is running against Patrick Smith, who’s also running under the Republican ticket.
And as a reminder the primary election is today and the deadline to cast a ballot is 8 P.M.
