SALISBURY, Md.- Emmanuel Church held its 2nd annual Back To Church Bash Sunday afternoon, looking to bring a sense of togetherness to the community.

Lead Pastor Mark Bunting tells us many are looking for a sense of belonging after being in isolation due to the pandemic, so he thought this event was a good way to bring people back together.

The day included bouncy houses, a dunk tank, and even a petting zoo.

We’re told the event has also allowed the church to expand it’s footprint in the community. “Every year we have done this we usually get people who will come up to me at the end of service and say ‘hey I’ve been watching online for the last year or year and a half and we thought the was a good Sunday to get back into the routine of coming to church,'” Bunting said.

“To provide something for the community to come together and to see joy on families faces and kids, there’s not a better feeling in the world.”

Due to this year’s amazing turnout, we’re told there’s already plans to bring the event back next year.
