Annual regional job and career fair returns to Salisbury

47ABC – In just two weeks, the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual regional Job and Career Fair. An opportunity for job seekers and employers to meet one another and fill a growing need.

According to Bill Chambers with the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, the worker shortage continues while many businesses still grapple with the lasting effects of the pandemic.

And this is the perfect opportunity to address it. There will be over 65 employers at the job and career fair and 2000 job seekers to help with part-time or full-time positions.

“You’ll have resume help if you’re a job seeker, you can file applications right there on sight with an employer,” says Bill Chamber. “They want to higher local, they know that you’ll be invested if you’re a local employee so it is very important for local businesses and employers to understand that and to take advantage of this opportunity. ”

The job fair will be held on Thursday, October 6th from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Centre at Salisbury. It’s free for attendees and open to the community.
