Serious assault lands three behind bars in Milford
MILFORD, Del. – Three men are behind bars following a serious assault in the Milford area last week.
Just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the area of North Street and NW 2nd Street for a report of an unconscious male subject laying in the grass. It was learned that the victim was suffering from a medical emergency and had injuries consistent with being physically assaulted.
The victim was taken to Bayhealth Sussex Campus, where we’re told he is listed in stable but critical condition.
Through investigation, detectives determined that the victim was assaulted by three male suspects, identified as 25-year-old Isaiah Tunnell, 18-year-old Joseph Mumford II, and 22-year-old Demetrius Frith-Thompson. Warrants were obtained for all three.
Mumford was arrested on Friday and charged with first degree assault and second degree conspiracy. He was held at SCI on a $27,000 cash bail.
Frith-Thompson and Tunnell were both taken into custody on Sunday. Frith-Thompson was charged with first degree assault, second degree conspiracy, tampering with physical evidence, and theft under $1500. He was held at SCI on a $65,000 cash bail. Tunnell was charged with first degree assault and second degree conspiracy and was held at SCI on a $104,000 cash bail.
