Pair arrested following Dover drug bust
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested two people this week following a drug investigation that began earlier this year.
Police say an investigation began back in June involving George Shaheen selling drugs. On Monday, detectives made contact with Shaheen inside of a vehicle, at which time he reportedly tried to flee, however, he was unable to get away due to the positioning of police vehicles.
Once Shaheen was in custody, officers executed a search warrant at his residence in the 100 block of Lexington Place. When officers arrived, they made contact with Kamiah Allen, who was allegedly leaving the residence in possession of drugs.
During the search of the residence, officers found 208.6 grams of cocaine, 1,764.5 grams of marijuana, and $12,833 in suspected drug money. Additionally, detectives obtained and executed a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of Willow Wood Drive in Smyrna, locating 9mm ammunition, which they say Shaheen is prohibited from possessing.
Shaheen was charged with numerous drug related offenses, as well as resisting arrest and criminal mischief. He was held at SCI on a $162,200 cash bail.
Allen was released after posting a $57,200 secured bond on a list of drug possession charges.
