SEAFORD, Del.- Kingdom Empowerment Christian Church and Mopar Mobb car club hosted their ‘Back 2 School Community Day’ event Sunday afternoon.

The goal of the day was to help families get their little ones geared up for the upcoming school year with a backpack and school supplies giveaway.

There were also moon bounces, games, food, and a eye-grabbing car show.

Both organizations tell us coming together for the community comes as second nature to them and today proved just how far a helping hand can go. “This was incredible because the community responded and were able to get all these book bags and come together. They’ve donated over hundreds of book bags just to make sure the kids had everything they need to start school,” Kingdom Empowerment Christian Church Pastor Mason McGill said.

“There’s a lot of people out here scratching to get by so any little thing to help. School supplies is very expensive, so if we can ease that burden for someone who needs it then why not” Mopar Mobb Founder Douglas Dobson said.

This was the first time that both the church and car club partnered for the event but we’re told it certainly wont be the last.
