First monkeypox case confirmed at the University of Delaware
DELAWARE – Officials have announced the first reported case of monkeypox at the University of Delaware.
We’re told an employee of the school has been diagnosed with the illness and is currently isolating and recovering at home. UD says it is working with the Delaware Division of Public Health to notify those who may have had close contact with the individual.
An email was sent to all faculty, staff, and students on Wednesday to make them aware of the case in the community. The University says it does not plan to issue individual emails for subsequent cases.
