Criminal Justice Council Updates Sexual Assault Kit Policy

DELAWARE – In an effort to strength the rights for survivors of sexual assault, new policies are underway in Delaware.

The Delaware Criminal Justice Council announced the changes.

The new policies will establish timelines for collection, documentation, processing, and investigating of evidence, received from from assault evidence kits.

These policy changes are based on input from local law enforcement, the Department of Defense, and the Division of Forensic Sciences.
