CDC launches new site to help curb Monkeypox at colleges, universities

DELMARVA- More resources came out Thursday to help school leaders and students learn more about Monkeypox.

Members of the White House Monkeypox response team, as well as representatives from the CDC, met with leaders from colleges across the country. They spoke about the best practices and measures for schools to take to curb the spread of Monkeypox, including information on testing and treatments. Along with this initiative, the CDC launched a new page for colleges to get more resources. One Salisbury University student we spoke with said while he doesn’t have concerns over the virus, he feels everyone should do their part.

“I think safety is always first priority anywhere you go, sanitation in the rooms, I think everyone should just be able to you know keep their area clean, you know if you’re sick tell somebody, take the medicine you need, stay in your room if you need rest,” Aidan Camper, SU incoming freshman, said.
