Powellville Vol. Fire Co. hosts breakfast benefit honoring Cpl. Glenn Hilliard

PITTSVILLE, Md. – Efforts to honor Wicomico County Sheriff’s Corporal Glenn Hilliard continued this morning with a breakfast benefit.

The Powellville Volunteer Fire Company spearheaded the event, featuring an all-you-can-eat buffet with everything from bacon to eggs.

The day also included a silent auction and a fill the boot fundraiser with all proceeds going to support the Hilliard Family.

Organizers tell us their goal is to make sure their brothers and sisters in blue and their families are supported. “We just want everybody to understand that means a lot for us here at Powellville. We’re really focused on taking care of our community,” Associate Treasurer Jodi Satterfield said.

Fire personnel tell us they’re grateful for an amazing turnout and look forward to continuing to support the Hilliard family.
