Polls open in Maryland: Here’s how to find your polling location
MARYLAND – Polling places are now open for anyone registered to vote. Polling locations will be open statewide until 8 p.m. today.
If you are not registered to vote, you can register to vote at your polling location today. Voters who have received mail-in ballots may return the ballots via the U.S. Postal Service or by placing their ballot in an official ballot drop box. Ballots returned by U.S. Mail must be postmarked by July 19th.
There will be instructions at each polling place or you can ask an election judge for assistance but you must cast your vote alone. Unless you are unable to do so due to a disability or are unable to read or write in English.
Also, a reminder final tallies will come in ten days after the election, on July 29th.
Unofficial election results from early voting will be released soon after all polls close at 8 p.m. Unofficial results from Election Day will be released later in the evening as counting by local election officials is completed. The counting of provisional ballots will take place on Wednesday, July 27th.
The State Board of Elections expects that the final certification of the election will take place the week of August 8th.
