Megan Outten Throws Her Hat in the Ring For Wicomico County Council at Large

Wicomico County, MD – Maryland’s Early Primary Election voting opened up today and the official voting day is July 19th. Before you head to the polls 47abc is helping you get to know your candidates.

Megan Outten, a Salisbury University Alumni spent her whole life in Wicomico County, with her family being in the area for over five generations.
Now as she is running, she tells 47ABC her plan is to bring more opportunities to the younger generations that reside in the county.

She said ” We have some fantastic universities that are cultivating all this amazing talent…all these amazing leaders and teachers and when they graduate they have nothing in Wicomico County to grapple on and then they have to leave.”

She continued by saying “I want to bring opportunity here; new industries, more jobs, affordable housing so that these young professionals can live here build families here, and get to enjoy Wicomico the way I do”

Outten also said she wants to help bring more diversity to the county council so that it reflects that of its constituents.
