FYP’s ‘Sneaker Gala’ returns this summer, supports more programming for homeless youth

SALISBURY, Md.-  The Fenix Youth Project is bringing the community together through the power of sneakers as it brings back one of its biggest fundraising efforts.

The organization’s Sneaker Gala will make its return next month, raising funds for FYP’s drop in center and support local homeless youth.

Organizers want to note that this year’s raffle prizes have been upgraded and will include things like vacation packages to local beaches and overseas destinations.

Last year, the event brought in $9,000 and the non-profit expects to top that this year. “FYP is always growing. The drop in center has been going on for two years now and its always expanding and whatnot,” FYP Intern Chance Crockett said.

“Donate. Tell your friends, tell your mom, tell your dad and just get the word out there because any little bit helps.”

That event is set for Saturday, August 20th.
