REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – An investigation is underway following a townhouse fire in Rehoboth Beach Wednesday evening.
At around 8 p.m., firefighters responded to Catalina Circle in the Sawgrass subdivision after several 911 calls came in reporting heavy fire in a townhouse unit. Rehoboth Beach firefighters were assisted at the scene by the Lewes Fire Department, Indian River Fire Company, and Sussex County Emergency Medical Services, and were able to control the blaze in 30 minutes.
We’re told nobody in the main fire unit was home at the time of the fire, but firefighters were able to rescue the family dog from the unit. No injuries were reported.
